Difference of magic truffles and magic mushrooms
Quite often we get the question “what exactly is the difference between magic mushrooms and magic truffles”, and is there really a difference? Truffles and mushrooms are both alive within the fungi kingdom; however they grow in difference places and look quite different. But are magic truffles and magic mushrooms really different, if you are searching for a certain psychedelic effect?
Above and below ground
If you are searching for a psychedelic trip, we can assure you that both with shrooms and magic truffles, you will find it. The biggest difference between the two is that the Psilocybe Cubensis starts to develop underground, which start to fruit above ground into mushrooms. The magic truffles (Psilocybe Tampanensis) hand grows like Cubensis but is also produces truffles underground ( see main picture of this blog), which are the truffles we sell. They all contain psilocybin, which is the most important, as it is what makes you trip.
Growth of magic truffles
Magic truffles are like shrooms, but then below ground. There is very dense and concentrated mycelium. When the mycelium start to grow, they are forming small balls – the truffles – through the wires of the mycelium. This is how they can survive bad weather conditions such as harsh rain and floods during monsoon.
When weather conditions improve, the magic truffles grows further and creates even more threads of mycelium, and then can create a magic mushroom above ground. Only the species Psilocybe Tampanensis is capable to do this.
A shroom trip vs. a magic truffle trip
Our own experience finds that both psychedelic trips do not differ, magic truffles can be just as profound as magic mushroom trips. The most important thing is that you choose you dosage correctly. Check out our magic truffle and mushroom dosage chart here!
