But! We soon realise all is not what it seems\u2014he has been lured into an experiment in which they put musician\u2019s brains into monkeys. Cue human-faced monkey carnage! The video for <em>Human Behavior<\/em> is loosely based on the fairytale <em>Goldilocks and the Three Bears<\/em>. We see little Bjork, tussling with a giant teddy-bear, running through a forest and falling from the moon, all in a surreal semi-animated style. Directed by music video master Michel Gondry <a href=\"https:\/\/consequenceofsound.net\/2018\/09\/10-times-michel-gondry-made-your-favorite-artists-cooler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">(Check him out!)<\/a>, Bjork explains<em> \u201c&#8217;Human Behaviour&#8217; is an animal&#8217;s point of view on humans. Starred in, and choreographed by Christopher Walken, we see the gangster-movie regular tapdance, spin and eventually fly around the LA Marriott Hotel. All to the sultry tones of Bootsy Collins. Gerald Scarfe created this clip, made to accompany the 1975 track <em>Welcome to The Machine<\/em>, and it is an example of dystopian psych at its best. A good one to start with (and follow <em>Welcome to the Machine)<\/em>, is 2016\u2019s <em>Rattlesnake<\/em>. The band play over an apocalyptic CGI background, hopping over snakes, until at the climax they begin to morph into reptiles themselves&#8230;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-pale-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\" id=\"h-hey-girl-hey-boy-chemical-brothers\"><em>Hey Girl, Hey Boy: Chemical Brothers<\/em><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"The Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy Hey Girl (Official Music Video)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tpKCqp9CALQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the cusp of the millenium The Chemical Brothers gave us another morph-tastic video that terrified the school children who happened to catch it on TV. A little girl on a school trip to the Natural History Museum London, falls and breaks her wrist. Later after an X-ray, she contemplates her bones within. Fast forward to adulthood, and the dancers at the nightclub our heroine attends flicker between skeleton and human, like a 90s <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Danse_Macabre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">danse macabre. <\/a><em>(Shout out to the skeletons getting busy in the club toilet)<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-pale-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\" id=\"h-gimme-some-more-busta-rhymes\"><em>Gimme Some More: Busta Rhymes<\/em><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Busta Rhymes - Gimme Some More (Official Video) [Explicit]\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/un3NkWnHl9Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Directed in 1998 by Hype Williams and Rhymes himself, this video features the fish-eye lense camera seen in many of Busta\u2019s videos, but that&#8217;s where the similarities end. Featuring a sample of the theme from Hitchcock\u2019s <em>\u2018Psycho\u2019, <\/em>the video takes this vibe and runs with it. A child transforms into a blue gremlin, eyes become spirals, Busta is a cartoon cowboy and then an inflated wrestler. It\u2019s like an episode of Tom and Jerry on\u2014 you guessed it\u2014 shrooms!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-pale-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\" id=\"h-when-you-die-mgmt\"><em>When Y<\/em>o<em>u Die: MGMT<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"MGMT - When You Die\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tmozGmGoJuw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Featuring actor Alex Karpovsky <em>(one of the many grumpy blokes in &#8216;Girls&#8217;)<\/em>, this 2017 MGMT video really captures the visuals of a trip, and not always a good one. Using the AI technique &#8216;style transfer&#8217;, we see Karpovsky as a hapless magician who dies and dies again, floral surgeons working on his spaghetti insides, and the cosmos inhabit the surface of his skin. Watch out for the fleshy face-melting finale!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-pale-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\" id=\"h-groove-is-in-the-heart-deee-lite\"><em>Groove Is In The Heart: Deee-Lite<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Deee-Lite - Groove Is In The Heart (Official Video)\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/etviGf1uWlg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Always filling dance floors, even 30 years after its release, Deee-Lite&#8217;s 1990 hit has a funkadelic video to match its groove. The clip shows the band in 60s inspired daisy-power outfits, layered over a swirling psychedelic backdrop, and throwing some shapes that <em>really<\/em> deserve a comeback.
